Site analytics
Base76 uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and understand which articles people read. Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar identifiers. When a page loads, the visitor's browser sends Google the page URL and IP address. Analytics reports may also include approximate location, browser and device details, referral information, and activity on the site.
Google describes how it uses information from sites that use its services, including controls available through Google and the Google Analytics browser add-on.
Hosting and email
Cloudflare hosts Base76 and processes the web requests needed to deliver each page. If someone emails tim@base76.com, Google Workspace processes the sender's address and message so Tim can receive and reply to it.
Advertising and browser controls
Base76 does not currently run advertising or connect its Analytics property to a Google Ads account. Analytics data is used to understand traffic and improve the site's content.
Visitors can block or delete cookies in their browser or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Base76 does not currently change analytics collection when a browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
